As the legacy continues of entertaining and creating benchmarks; Zee Bangla reveals yet another chapter of the most awaited event – Zee Bangla Gourav Samman 2014 – Theatre Festival, where give a platform to showcase some of the best theatre productions for last 2 years.

The Festival was inaugurated on February 02, 2014, Sunday with Shri Bratya Basu, Honourable Education Minister, West Bengal inaugurating the festival along with Anindya Chattopadhya, a multifaceted personality, unmatched in the field of Bangla rock along with his amazing presence on big screen too.With the former, the festival was opened by Kabi Subodh Sarkar, eminent poet, literate, winner of Sahitya Academy Award 2013 & Shri Rupak Saha, eminent novelist, writer & a reputed name in one of the dailies for his initial stint as a sports editor.

Zee Gaurav Sanmaan 2014 – Theatre Festival would showcase one show everyday till Friday, February 07, 2014 at 6.30. The Festival comes to an end with 2 shows on Saturday, February 08, 2014 & Sunday, February 09, 2014 with one of the most celebrated and talked about play ‘Cinemar Moto’ by Bratya Basu. The festival would showcase some amazing works of few groups like Shopno Sandhani’s play ‘Macbeth’, directed by Kaushik Sen, Noto Ranga’s production ‘Jodidong’, by Sohan Bandopadhya & not to miss ‘Altaf Gomes’, one of the most reputed play’s directed by Debesh Chattopadhya.

The awards for the plays based on Best Production, Best Director, Best lighting, Best music, Best play write & Best Act 2014or (Male & Female) would be announced at Zee Gaurav Sanmaan Award night in March 2014.
